The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets travelled to Pitt and pulled off the upset of the #24 Panthers, 26-21. Georgia Tech ran the ball well, didn’t commit any turnovers and turned the Panthers over 3 times in the win. Yellow Jackets quarterback Jeff Sims threw for 102 yards and 1 touchdown and rushed for 81 yards and another touchdown in the win. Running back Hassan Hall rushed for 157 yards on 20 carries, good for a 7.9 yard per carry average. Wide receiver E.J. Jenkins caught 2 passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Yellow Jackets Linebacker Charlie Thomas was all over the field, including an interception in the 2nd Half.
