We are currently in lockdown again, as the hospital occupancy rates are in the upper range and we want to prevent the collapse of the health system. This means that only essential shops such as supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations, ... are open. Those who can should work from home so that there are few social contacts. Schools and kindergartens are in a kind of emergency operation and if possible, children should also be at home.
Nonetheless, the beautiful Christmas season comes, of course, when you usually go to the Christmas markets. For this reason, I went to the famous Vienna Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt) on Rathausplatz today to see what was left of the beautiful Christmas market due to the lockdown.
