go to start on windows and put in regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Command and Conquer 3.

step three
The InstallPath for me is

"d:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\command and conquer 3 tiberium wars"

change it to this

"d:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\command and conquer 3 tiberium wars\"
