Covid19 Travel: Frankfurt & Frankfurt Airport / Flying Lufthansa Warsaw to Istanbul via Frankfurt

Travelling has significantly changed since 2019. Although last summer was still more relaxed, as travelling did not require you to take a Covid test when travelling between countries – all you had to do was fill a passenger locator form.

Back in September 2020, I decided to fly to Istanbul for the first time during the pandemic and Lufthansa happened to be the cheapest option. Technically the route wasn’t the quickest as I had to fly via Frankfurt and the transit time was 9 hours. I decided to take this as an opportunity to explore Frankfurt during the pandemic.

Frankfurt is one of Europe’s main financial hubs, and also one of Lufthansa’s largest bases. Despite Frankfurt having a lot of skyscrapers, the city also has some remains of its old heritage (Old City and the Römerberg).

This video shows the beginning of my visit to Adana and Istanbul, which you will be able to viewed in subsequent videos.
