There is an explosion of vehicle data being created worldwide from a rapidly-growing number of sensors feeding advanced vehicle processing platforms and extending to the cloud to enable new data-driven services. The automotive market is in the early stages of leveraging this data to enable a new generation of intelligent connected vehicles. However, the commercial vehicle industry is already leveraging vehicle data extensively to maintain and optimize their fleets, increase driving safety, reduce insurance costs and meet regulatory compliance requirements.

With the introduction of new technologies, commercial vehicles will be able to access and process even more data to further optimize and reduce the cost of their operations on top of their evolution to autonomous and electric vehicles that also require access to massive vehicle data for continual improvements. This session will explore the type of vehicle data that enables commercial vehicle use cases and identify the significant benefits they will offer to the dynamic commercial vehicle market being fueled by vehicle data.
