The Cenotaph and Sir Winston Churchill Statue London Walking Tour
London walking tour from Trafalgar Square towards Parliament Square Gardens, via Whitehall and Parliament Streets.

The national monument of The Cenotaph, the war memorial after the First World War and the site for the annual National Service of Remembrance in November.

Parliament Square Garden is the legendary square gardens opposite the Palace of Parliament and hosts notable statues of world leaders from the past, such as Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and Sir Winston Churchill.

The walk was done in May 2019, before the Coronavirus pandemic and before any social distancing was the rule. Since movement of Black Lives Matter, there has been much controversy of the monuments in this area and some have been defaced. Here I look back at calmer times and an opportunity to see them as they are.
