If you want to stream games on your Smart-TV, all you need to do is download the Steam Link App! The days of needing dedicated equipment like the Steam Link box to stream your games to your TV are gone. Streaming directly from your smart tv functions similarly to the way Valve's hardware does, except being built right into your TV (after you've downloaded the app anyway). You don't need the extra hardware to do it. The app is available for 2016 an up Samsung TVs Samsung Smart models with the 2016 models only supporting 1080p resolution and the 2017 and up models supporting 4k resolution. The only thing else you'll need to consider is the amount of free USB ports on your TV. I don't use USB for media, I get everything via streaming services or over my local network, so my TV has enough free USB ports for a mouse and keyboard or controller with some to spare if I did use them for something else.
