Steam Audio in Tarkov is a big thing with patch 12.10 in Escape from Tarkov. With binaural audio you can hear sound sources from two directions or in three-dimensional space and in EFT it works with a special
algorithm. The problem in Escape from Tarkov right now is that we have some basic sound issues but the steam audio helps a lot to improve your experience in terms of locate your opponents better. So steam audio creates a better surround sound and this will help your gameplay in Escape from Tarkov. But unfortunately we also have some smaller bugs like ghoststeps during the first few seconds of a raid in EFT. Also the community responded that for some players the steam audio didn't work well.
