After two years with a 1TB 7200RPM HDD in my laptop I have had enough, so I treated myself to an mSATA SSD for this thing, specifically a Samsung 850 EVO mSATA drive. Now with a fresh installation of Windows this machine blows through things like a knife through butter, unlike before where it would literally take longer to boot than what I'd end up using the machine for.
