In this video tutorial, I will show you how I replaced my old drive with a brand new Samsung 860 EVO.
Discover step by step how to change the hard drive in your old iMac by removing the glass panel and screen.

See how important it is to perform regular maintenance on your iMac by removing dust that can potentially clog up your cooling system.

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the newer iMac's will perform far worse because they are so slim.

Also, notice that newer models seem to be delivered with a glass panel that is held in place by an adhesive strip.
Personally, I think this is not a good design because it makes cleaning, upgrading, and maintenance tasks more difficult to perform.

As shown in the video, at least the old iMac models make glass panel removal easy, if you have the right tools.

After installing the 1TB SSD I show you how to install the new operating system, and then perform a speed test and comparison against my old drive.
