In this video, we are going to learn how to install phpMyAdmin on your Windows PC. To install phpMyAdmin, we will use a free program WAMP. Let’s see, how we will do it.
1. In the address bar of your browser, type http://www.wampserver.com/en/ press enter key.
2. Scroll down the page to DOWNLOADS.
3. You will find here two download options, one for 64 bits Windows version and the second for 32 Bits.
4. Before downloading any version, please check your installed Windows bits.
5. Like, our Windows is 64 bits, so we are clicking on the WAMP SERVER 64 BITS option.
6. This will open a pop-up window with a form.
7. Here, we will click on a text link that says, “You can download it directly”.
8. This will redirect you to the Source Forge page.
9. You can either click on the green color button, Download Latest Version, or can select the older version from the list below.
10. We have selected the WampServer2 version for our Windows.
11. Now, we are clicking on the WampServer 2.5 version which is the last updated version of the WAMP 2 series.
12. You will see, two file links ending with dot exe extension. The first one is for 32 bits and the second is for 64 bits.
13. We will click on the 64-bit version because our Windows version is 64 bit.
14. This will start the download process. Save the file on your PC.
15. The download of Wamp Server will start soon and this will take time to complete.
16. After download completion, Open file location.
17. Double click on the Wampserver exe file, and then click on the Run button.
18. In the Setup window, click on the Next button.
19. Read the License Agreement terms, then select the radio button I accept the agreement.
20. Click on the Next button.
21. Select the destination location to install WampServer, we are keeping it as default.
22. Click on the Next button.
23. Click again on the Next button, and then click on the Install button.
24. This will start Installing Wamp Server on your PC.
25. Choose your default browser to open the WAMP.
26. Here, the explorer browser is selected, so we are clicking on the Open button.
27. You will see an alert window about access permission.
28. Click on Allow access button
29. In the WampServer Setup windows, we will leave SMTP on default as localhost. You can put your email in the Email input field, and click on the Next button.
30. WAMP has been installed on the PC, click on the Finish button.
31. Let’s check, how we can access the phpMyAdmin.
32. Click on the notification area at the right bottom of the taskbar.

33. Click on the WAMP icon.

35. See, phpMyAdmin has successfully installed and opened in the browser.
