Mehr als 250 Mitarbeiter, 250 Millionen User und einen 220 Millionen Euro Exit

Florian Gschwandtner ist Serienunternehmer, Investor und Author. Begonnen hat alles mit einem Studium zu Mobile Computing. Nach einer kurzen Project Manager Rolle gründete Florian mit drei Freunden Runtastic.

Ein paar Jahre später hatte Runtastic mehr als 250 Mitarbeiter, über 250 Millionen Downloads und wurde 2015 für sage und schreibe 220 Millionen Euro an Adidas verkauft.

Das Verrückte daran?

Runtastic wurde komplett gebootstrapped, das heißt von Grund auf selbst finanziert.

Um die Kosten und das Wachstum zu finanzieren haben die Gründer eine App-Schmiede als Agentur aufgesetzt und später ebenfalls veräußert.

Heute ist Florian Chief Growth Officer bei Tractive, einer Firma, die er vor Jahren als Advisor mitgegründet hat. Tractive nutzt GPS Tracking für Hunde & Katzen und beschäftigt inzwischen auch nahezu 100 Mitarbeiter.
