The most constructive means of containing the pandemic right now is to ensure that a safe and effective vaccine is distributed swiftly and fairly around the world. It is therefore our collective responsibility to ensure that the vaccine, testing materials and essential medicines reach those that need it.

What challenges are lower-income countries facing in order to vaccine their populations against COVID, and what role can Germany and the EU play in order to support fair distribution and increase in production capacity?

Join MEP Anna Cavazzini and Agnieszka Brugger, Pegah Edalatian and Jamila Schäfer from the German Greens, to discuss vaccines and global solidarity on the basis of their paper "We can only win against Covid if we act together".

They will be joined by the speakers:

Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to health

Dr. Kate O Brien, Director for Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals at the WHO

Marco Alves, Coordinator of MSF Access Campaign Germany
